HOW OSTEOPATHY CAN HELP
Osteopathic treatment is based on the principle that no parts of your body exist in isolation. Our musculoskeletal system is a key component of overall physical well-being as well as a factor in for example the respiratory and digestive systems.
We have a wide range of non-invasive manual techniques including joint manipulation, soft tissue massage, nerve stretching, medical acupuncture/dry needling, and exercise rehabilitation to help with pain relief and discomfort.
This, combined with education and understanding, is a powerful tool in your health and wellbeing.

Many people have heard of chiropractors and what they do, but fewer know about osteopaths and what they do, although both are closely related. So, what do osteopaths do? Find out on this episode of Healthzone With Gilbert Cheah
WHAT TO EXPECT
At the initial consultation, a detailed case history will be taken. We will then do an initial structural assessment and any necessary neurological or orthopedic tests. Occasionally further imaging is required but not as standard. Here we will determine if you are suitable for treatment or if an appropriate referral is necessary.
Once a diagnosis is reached, we will assess the range and quality of motion in joints and soft tissues. Then look at your general postural pattern as it relates to your injury. We will explain the treatment plan and once consent is given, we will begin the treatment in the first session. This will be a variety of hands-on work, education, and exercise.
If at any point you feel uncomfortable or wish to change treatment approaches, please feel free to discuss this with your therapist.
